Kentaro Miura: Berserk, the best manga in existence

Image
Kentaro Miura , creator of iconic manga Berserk, dies at 54. The artist, who died of acute aortic dissection, had a large pop culture influence via his long-running saga about a sword-wielding mercenary. I'm not going to review the manga now because the majority of people know about it, but still for people I'll write down the summary of the manga. Guts, a former mercenary now known as the "Black Swordsman," is out for revenge. After a tumultuous childhood, he finally finds someone he respects and believes he can trust, only to have everything fall apart when this person takes away everything important to Guts for the purpose of fulfilling his own desires. Now marked for death, Guts becomes condemned to a fate in which he is relentlessly pursued by demonic beings. Setting out on a dreadful quest riddled with misfortune, Guts, armed with a massive sword and monstrous strength, will let nothing stop him, not even death itself, until he is finally able to ta ke the head

Does every weeb do anime sketching?

Image
So today, as the title is, does every weeb do anime sketches? Well as you know, even if you don't know, I love anime and I do sketch and most of the people that I know who love anime, sure do anime sketches. I'm not saying that everyone does but the people i know and the people i have seen sure do. So the question arises, is it like a compulsory thing or what. Well to be honest, i'll talk about myself. I started drawing after watching anime. I wasn't good at drawing at all from childhood nor did I have any fondness towards drawing. But when I started watching anime, I felt like drawing because of my love of anime. For most people, it must be because of love. For example when we read a story or watch some anime or movie, we feel something in there, like it should be like this or it shouldn't be like this. So we start writing. No clue about you guys but I started writing because I read a story and I felt like it wasn't enough so I started writing.  So if you look

should you watch Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress in 2021?

You want to talk about zombies? Let’s talk about zombies. I do not claim to be a connoisseur of zombie films and media, but I do enjoy the genre from time to time. What I don’t like, or rather what I am disappointed in, is the way zombies are portrayed in anime. To my knowledge, a proper zombie anime is an extremely rare thing, and depending on how much you want to argue what is and is not a zombie, you could almost say that a proper zombie horror anime has yet to be made. But before you head down to the comments to rage at me with the obvious examples of anime that you think will prove me wrong, let me clarify about the kind of zombies that I am talking about. I am not talking about zombies that by and large are like regular people who just have the random desire to eat brains, so that cuts out Zombie Loan and Tokyo Ghoul. Speaking of, I’m not talking about Ghouls either. The traditional ghoul, while occasionally mindless depending on the story, is usually controlled by a vampire. T

Classroom of the Elite and Escapism

Image
Many people have opinions on this show and I Find it understandable. The show is very flawed in many ways but that doesn't mean the show is without any good aspects. So today let's talk about the classroom of the elite and escapism. Let's be honest with each other the escapism genre has recently gotten a pretty bad rap especially in anime. That's mostly to do with most escapism fantasies being self insert shows about a character who does nothing and becomes all-powerful granted. There are a few shows that are exceptions to this rule but this won't be my argument for today since Ayanokoji-kun is a self-insert character. I think the main flaw people often make about shows like this is that if it's self-insert, it's automatically bad but let's be honest, that's a pretty toxic way of looking at art. Most people came into the classroom of the elite with this bias and left without giving it a proper chance to draw you in and that is what is truly amazing a

My favourite Anime genre?

Image
There are a lot of genres in anime and to say your favourite or something like that is very stressful. As a man of culture, I do enjoy harem and ecchi stuff as every single man with dreams. But to say it's my fav genre, nah its not. That would be too much. So today I'm not going to tell you my favourite genre but the least liked genre by me. That should be interesting.  Well to be honest, I watch anime of any genre if the storyline and character building is bearable. But fuck boruto. I hate it to the core. Not just because of boruto but the old man naruto is too. He's so effin weak now. In the latest episode we saw his ass being kicked like come on, he's the strongest shinobi!! Sure he had a comeback but fuck it. Anyways we are not talking about boruto here but if you hate him too, check out Bhy kakashi hates boruto . Anyways let's move on. A Lot of people like psychological genres in anime or time travelling genres like RE:ZERO but I totally don't like these ty

Netflix should have more Anime

Image
As we all know that Netflix isn't an anime based platform or it's even trying to be one but if it has a category of anime then it should probably try a bit harder to get more anime in there. These days almost everyone has netflix. They see seasons or movies or whatever they like because Netflix provides them almost every new season and stuff but on the other hand, the anime choice is so shallow. They only have the famous shows that every anime lover has already seen. So what's the point of having it on netflix. I mean sure the people that dont watch anime, might become interested in anime by seeing those big names and stuff. My point being said is if there is a specific category for anime then they should put more anime shows on there. The Netflix original anime is worth nothing at all. They just released “the way of househusband” and man they just massacred a well potential anime. In Japan, it was announced as a TV manga and sure that sounds true and acceptable because tha

Netflix ruined it: The way of the househusband

Image
This is my review for netflix's original anime series, the way of the house husband. Let me know in the comments below why you are excited for this and if not, why not?  Let's jump into the review. A retired gangster spends his time as a househusband, carrying out home chores. When i saw the trailer for this i was kind of really eagerly anticipating this as one of those anime that you know you keep on your radar, you mark the date on the calendar and you're like i'm so looking forward to that one. There's something that seemed like a really unique premise to me and I thought yeah I'm gonna go for it. I saw a few of the comments and they were kind of negative from the trailer and I thought this is just a kind of teaser trailer. It's not gonna be like that. I was so looking forward to this and so it's unfortunate that I have to say that they're opposite ends of the scale when it comes to this anime. One the premise is unique and it's fantastic. Th

Everything You Need To Know About Tokyo Revengers! The Tokyo Manji Gang Explained

Image
With the release of one of the newest spring anime Tokyo Revenger, I instantly fell in love with this series. I've been hearing about this series for the last few years but after checking it out myself I found that its whole setting and plot is really captivating and I see a little potential for this series. So let's get started with explaining the Tokyo manji gang which is one of the main driving plays for this series tokyo revenges. Is a story which follows hanagaki takamichi who isa 26 year old shouting worker and is living a pretty meaningless life however one day his life would flip around after hearing of the death of his girlfriend back when he was in middle school due to the result of gang grenade activities from the notorious tokyo kanji gang takamichi who was reflecting on how terrible his life had gotten as he got older, was on his way home from work when he was suddenly pushed into the train tracks by an unknown person. Moments before certain death he remembered his

GINTAMA is in top 5 for a reason

Image
so im the person who loved gintama right from the get go. right from the first episode. i didnt read the gintama manga like ever. i started with anime and this is the only anime that actually made me cry.  As a person who found pleasure in the darkest and most gloomy kinds of settings, I would almost immediately say that this was not for me. Everything was just so weird and appeared to be arbitrarily glued together. I was so naïve. Story: 9/10 Sooo… yeah, this is actually hard. Gintama is composed of a series of mini arcs that have no real connection to each other. You can’t call it a consistent storyline but it’s also not really episodic, there are also fillers organically weaved into the style and pace of the anime. A strange kind of hybrid, that still works somehow. We have different little events like the Benizakura, Yoshiwara or Popularity Poll arc, which all are amazingly done. Action, drama and most of all comedy, Gintama’s got them all and none of them are bad. Also, because I

Why Kakashi Hates Boruto

Image
The only episode of boruto that i liked was where kakashi appeared. If i should say that everyone was anticipating this moment then i'm sure you guys will agree with me. So we got to see Kakashi in action in episode 36 and that was oh my god, can not be put into words. We finally got to see Kakashi's super savage side again that many people have forgotten about carefree and retired. Kakashi had taken an interest in the latest class of Academy students that were about to graduate to become ninjas and he decided that they are pretty much all horrible candidates, especially boruto.  Now why does the sixth Hokage hate Boruto so much who himself is recognized as a genius shinobi with very high potential. Let's start from the very beginning of the episode. Boruto is shown to have taken a written test where everyone was expected to cheat to pass but because he wasn't listening in class earlier he didn't realize that was what everyone else was doing. Pretty much the same te

Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train Review

Image
A visually stunning theatrical continuation of one of anime's biggest recent hits, Demon slayer the movie mugen train, only slightly misses the mark the film aims to show us how the characters have grown from training after their last life and death battle and how to have them learn the hard way. Just how far they still have to go, picking up moments after the end of the tv series, the film follows our team of heroes as they board a train where both normal people and demon hunters have gone missing in mass, likely due to demons of course. This means that whatever's going on a bit too much for mid-level hunter like Tanjiro and his friends so they are assigned to work with Rengoku, one of the nine strongest hunters in their organization yet as they begin to explore the mystery of the train, it quickly becomes clear that raw power alone will not be enough to save all those on board. While the film does have some good character development with each side character getting their ow
