ARE LIGHT NOVELS WORTH READING?

A Lot of people ask me why I waste my time on reading light novels. And obviously my answer to them is a punch in their faces. I mean why wouldn't I read light novels. Most of the anime and manga are based on these light novels. People watch anime and when they dont get more episodes, they shift to manga then. And even after finishing the manga, they head over to the light novels. Where did that bring them to? Light novels are inevitable. I know most people do not do this and they wait for anime or manga but i think it's not a bad thing to appreciate light novels. Some light novels are just so good. Even if they don't have any anime and manga adaptations, they are worth every second of give. But of course it all depends on people and what they prefer. I did a survey and most people answered that they don't read light novels because they are way too lengthy. Pretty valid point. I totally agree on this point. But also there were some people that said reading novels is good because they can spend time like this. I mean why not? I read light novels in my spare time to pass the time. 

Everything aside, sure many novels are similar to the other ones but they are still worth a check. I read a lot of light novels to be honest. And the one that left the deepest impression on me is lord of the mysteries.  Oh boi, that was a hell of a read. I reread it i don't know maybe 4 times? It has 1400+ chapters but man i couldn't be more happier than reading that novel again. The depth of that novel was comparable to one piece and I rate one piece right at the top. So my point here is, it all depends on your own tastes but if i tell them that i read light novels and they scorn, they oh boi you are dead. Just kidding. Anyways that's it for now. I felt like this thing should be addressed as many people hate without even giving it a go.
